Tuesday, 08-Jun-10 21:01:53 GMT@Snooze, it was (and is, and always will be) a work in progress, but the general idea was not intended to change a lot. The idea was to bring more attention to the receivers. The text (it isn't that bad, is it?) is great for google/other search engines.
Anyway, it turns out (surprisingly? no) that not everyone likes this new layout. It's now possible to use the new website with the old layout: just click the Account tab in the menu, and click the Change layout button. This changes at least part of the layout to the good old colorful thing.
Let me know what you think.

Thursday, 10-Jun-10 14:19:54 GMTYes, I am aware of access to the old scheme but as I already said, it doesn't bother me. My post was that the other guy has a valid point about the new layout being a backwards step in terms of appearance.
I'm not quite sure what the point of this new layout is. You say it's to bring more attention to the receivers, but I don't see the connection myself. Exactly how does this new layout bring more attention to the receivers over the old layout?
The text may be "great" for the search engines, but the same effect can also be achieved by using img tags.
From a new visitor perspective I think that this new layout is much more unappealing vs. the old layout. Others may not agree, but you did ask what I thought so I've told you! :-)

Thats the way web design seems to have gone,WAY DOWNHILL!! (Along with everything else and its sad -- People are now satisfied with GARBAGE and its very confusing to me!! (What happend to thier demand for GOOD quality?))

Friday, 11-Jun-10 11:21:41 GMTSo, having read this blog, I have to comment. IMO, the current version of the web site is by far better than the older one (pre-2010). The modern layout is also way ahead of the classic layout in that it looks like a modern receiver/transceiver. It's obvious that lots of thought and effort went into that design and I love it.
Keep things moving forward and don't look back.
