Niles is a city in Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. The city's population was 20,932 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman, OH-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.6 square miles (22.2 km²), of which, 8.6 square miles (22.1 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.23%) is water.

On May 31, 1985, as it neared the PA border in Niles and Hubbard townships of eastern Trumbull County, the Niles/Wheatland tornado created its first area of F5 damage. When it reached Mercer County, PA, it was a half-mile (0.8 km) wide funnel with winds estimated at 300 mph (480 km).

Niles is known for its ethnic diversity, and the community hosts a large Italian-American community. The local center of Italian-American culture and tradition is Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. The church's annual celebration of the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel during July is considered one of Ohio's noteworthy Italian-American festivals.
