NOTE: This receiver is specifically tuned up for broadcast FM. This is for those who might want to check out DX conditions at my location, or even listen to Heart, Capital etc.. My presets give all the mostly-dead spots for easy weak signal hunting. It's all valid radio hobby interest. I will not be adding aerials etc. for other freqs. Some air band users seem to think that nobody is interested in listening to band 2. They are incorrect in their assumptions judging by my logs.
I encourage you to experiment though. Don't just camp on the air band freqs, or listen to commercial radio unless you are checking out how far a certain transmitter gets out.
Unfortunately, LW, MW, SW will not produce good results most of the time as it suffers from very bad interference from the power supply of the computer and other electronics nearby, plus the RSP suffers a bit on those freqs from increased strong images for some reason. Occasionally I will run the laptop on batteries which will improve things slightly.
Powered by SDR Sharp and an SDR Play RSP1.
The receiver will be on whenever I am in the mood and there is something interesting to stream FM-wise.
