Thanks for telling me about that. I am aware of the solar activity and propagation, but I thought groundwave signals propagate over salt water, it sounds like LW needs more attention in the Radio Science Observing Department. I have built a active antenna for the KA-35 from Kaito and the reception is great on the Grundig G5. I have to check the band again and see if the spherics are calming down. But I have to wait until I can get a bunch of AA batteries for my LW radios. I have a Facebook page that I created called "I Love Long Wave radio". Join me if you are interested.
