Tomorrow Sunday morning at 08:00 UTC - 10:00 UTC or 10 O'Clock (Dutch Time) 9 AM in the UK. The Dutch National Radio Station Radio One (VPRO) will remember Radio London Big L 266 about the final day on monday aug, 14 th , 1967

The program will take 2 hours (10-12 h) Uk time 9:00 - 11:00 AM. It will be ofcourse all in Dutch but a lot of items will be in English. Since the big fire on the tramitter tower in the North part of The Netherlands. The Dutch service of Radio 1 can be heard on 648 khz (ex BBC World Sevice) with low power. What and how much the name " low power " ?

But there is also a relay on Short Wave that takes over by the Dutch Service of RNW or Radio Nederland Wereld Omroep. You can hear them on 5.955 khz in the 49 MB and on 9.895 in the 31 MB. Not sure but I think the use 13.700 khz to. But the 49 mb will give a strong singal for sure in the UK let hope there will be not to much fading. The modulation is better than the 648 khz signal not sure if the did change that ? The say that the use Low Power but what do the call Low ? if the max power is 500 KW (ex BBC World Sevice)?

So try 648 khz MW and 5.955 khz SW also on the internet at http://www.radio1.nl/ live stream window click here http://radioplayer2.omroep.nl/radio1/

And next week you can listen back to the pod cast incase you did miss it or not able to listen live

The Dutch person and radio historicus Hans Knot did report this.

PS I will make a MW recording here in Gent on 648 khz we have a very strong signal here

73 Herman
